Bio:
Our Friend & The Spiders (OFTS) is a Montreal-based band that was formed in 2008 and consists of four musicians who try to defy conventional music boundaries by creating pop songs with convoluted ambient textures.

With their second released and first full-length album ‘’Walk Me Out’’ which they co-produced with Sébastien Rivard,

OFTS has created an appealing sound that is steeped in vintage reverb, haunting fuzz and catchy rhythms.

Influences were drawn from the edgy sound of Queens Of The Stone Age, textures from Radiohead and catchy hooks from Placebo and Interpol.

Press:
‘’Montreal four-piece of noise makers, steeping their sound in vintage reverb, haunting fuzz, band catchy rhythms. Think Radiohead when they favoured guitars instead of electronics.’’
– NXNE 2013 Festival.

‘’Im always interested in discovering new talent from my own city, and from the first few seconds of Our Friend & The Spiders song Your Ghost, I was completely hooked. ‘’
– Melissa Payette, editor-in-chief, Confront Magazine.

“Taking it one notch higher than the standard brand of music that often emanates from this city, Our Friend & the Spiders have put together a solid rock record that retains originality whilst being pretty radio-friendly.”
– Bloody Underrated

“One of the best bands in Quebec in my opinion, holy hell are they fantastic. They play indie-rock that has the familiar Montreal/Quebec sound but does things with fuzzy guitars that you rarely if ever hear from the region.”
– Dan Wolovick, Rancho Relaxo, Toronto

“There’s room for you guys in the music world and in the industry and I think you guys can definitely move forward and perform, play festivals…I see people actually buying your music.”
-Vicki Bonomo, EMI Music Canada.
